Senior forward Justin Martin turned in his usual boxscore stats in Husson's 71-64 win at Lasell College last night. 14 points, 16 rebounds, two blocks and just one turnover.

The 6-foot-6 forward from Winslow has been filling the stat sheet for his entire career. Need a rebound? Martin is your guy. Need a big basket? Martin can do it. Need a defensive play or blocked shot? Martin is the man.

With his two blocks last night, Martin became the all-time career block leader in Husson history with 166. That's an average of three blocks per game. Martin passes former Husson player, now Hermon HS athletic administrator Rick Sinclair, for the career blocks record.

Add in 12.4 rebounds per game and 12 points per game, you can see why he was the North Atlantic Conference Defensive Player of the Year last season.

Martin is likely to finish his career in the school top five in rebounding.

NOTE: The Eagles begin NAC conference play this weekend with two games at Northern Vermont-Lyndon.
