The world's best golfer had playoff problems in day one of the FedEx Cup race. Rory McIlroy shot a 74 at the Barclays - his highest score in a tournament since July.

McIroy is coming off two major wins, the British Open and the PGA Championship. His 74 leaves him nine shots behind leader Bo Van Pelt.

Only the top 100 scorers advance to the next tournament in the FedEx Cup. After day one, McIlroy is tied for #102.
