University of Maine men's basketball leading scorer Wes Myers will be heading to the Southeastern Conference in the fall to continue his career.

Head Coach Bob Walsh in the Spring said that Myers would not be coming back for his final year of eligibility and would be granted his release from the program.  South Carolina was 28-11 last season and lost to Gonzaga in the NCAA Final Four.
