A sweep by Husson University basketball teams over Maine Maritime Academy Saturday afternoon means both Eagles team hold down first place in the North Atlantic Conference.

In the men's game, Husson beat MMA 83-70. Raheem Anderson led the Eagles with 30 points, despite being in foul trouble for much of the game.

The Mariners hung around all day, tied at the half and keeping it close for most of the second half. 19 turnovers hurt their cause. Nick Judge scored 16 points to lead the Mariners.

Husson improves to 6-4 overall and 4-1 in the NAC (T-1st place). MMA falls to 3-9 and 0-5.

In the women's game, Husson's defense forced 26 MMA turnovers and the Eagles won 82-53.

11 different players scored for the Eagles with Kenzie Worcester leading with 17, Darla Morales with 15 and Chandler Guerrette with 13.

Cloe Smedley andMelinda Ogden led the Mariners, each scoring 12.

Husson moves to 8-1 overall and a perfect 5-0 in the NAC. MMA drops to 4-7 and 1-4.
