NAC Hoops Poll: Beavers Picked #1

The men's basketball coaches in the North Atlantic Conference are calling for a tight race for the top spot in the league. UMaine Farmington edges Husson University in the preseason poll. Thomas College is close behind in third place.

Coach Dick Meader's Beavers won the regular season title last year but got upset in the playoffs. He returns most of the starting unit, plus sophomore Terion Moss, who played at UMaine last year.

UMF got four first place votes and 58 points overall.

Husson received two first place vote and 56 points overall.

Thomas totaled 48 points in the poll.
