NAC Opening Night: Eagles Sweep

Opening night in the North Atlantic Conference turned out to be a big success for the Husson Eagles, sweeping the Northern Vermont Lyndon Hornets in men's and women's action.

Husson Men 94  NV Lyndon 83:  Four of the five starters for the Eagles were in double-digit scoring, led by Bruce St. Peter with 16 and Justin Thompson with 15.

The Husson bench outscored the Hornets bench 37-12. Jay Thomas had 12, Scott Lewis 11 and Derek Collin with nine.

The Eagles improve to 3-3 overall (1-0 NAC). Lyndon drops to 3-5 and 0-1.

Husson Women 61  NV Lyndon 40:  The Hornets outscored the Eagles 15-8 in the first quarter and then the Eagles outscored the visitors 53-25 the rest of the way.

Bailey Donovan had 12 points and eight rebounds. The backcourt of Sydney Allen and Emma Alley totaled 19 points.

The Eagles improve to 2-4 (1-0 NAC). The Hornets drop to 1-5  and 0-1.
