Hockey East  gets three teams in the 16 team NCAA Tournament field - Northeastern, UMass and Providence.

The Huskies got the automatic bid for winning the HE Tournament Championship, 3-2, over Boston College Saturday night. Northeastern started its playoff push by sweeping UMaine in the quarterfinal round.

The 28-9 UMass Minutemen will be the #1 seed in the Northeast Regional in New Hampshire.

And, Providence College garnered the the final spot in the field. The Friars will be the #4 seed in the East Regional, which happens to be in Providence this year.
