Parke, Rogerson Selected All-State

Bangor catcher Tyler Parke and Brewer shortstop Kobe Rogerson have been selected to the Maine Sunday Telegram All-State Baseball Team. Witches coach Dana Corey is the Maine Coach of the Year.

The Maine Sunday Telegram looks at all four classes in high school baseball to come up with its list of the 14 best players.

Parke helped lead the Rams to a state record fifth straight Class A title. He hit .491 that includes a walk-off grand slam to win the North Regiion title.

Rogerson helped lead the Witches to a first ever state title. He hit .397 and also pitched for Brewer.

Old Town's McKenna Smith, Brewer's Kenzie Dore and PVHS's Leine McKechnie have bee selected to the MST All-State Softball Team.

Smith led the Coyotes in pitching and hitting. She was named PVC Player and Pitcher of the Year.

Dore led Brewer to a Class B state title as a shortstop and hitting .500.

McKechnie led her Howlers to the state championship game as the leading pitcher and hitter.
