It's hard to ignore what Nick Clawson and Chase Carmichael have meant to their teams. If you combine their senior year stats you get 58 touchdowns and nearly 4,000 yards of offense.

But only one can play on state championship Saturday next week and that will be determined tonight.

The Class D North / LTC Championship game kicks off at 7pm tonight and Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket and 929theticket.com brings you live coverage.

Oakes Field in Dover-Foxcroft is the site because the Ponies are the #1 seed. The Golden Bucks are the #2 seed.

Foxcroft Ponies: Coach Danny White played in two LTC title games vs Bucksport during his high school playing days. He thinks his team is playing its best football right now. Hard to argue after the 40-0 semi-final win last week over Dexter.

QB Nick Clawson runs the show on offense and he is a dual threat, running and passing for 1,878 yards and 30 TDs. Junior Michaleb Niles is the primary back. Hyatt Smith and Jeremy Richard make a terrific one-two punch at receiver.

Bucksport Golden Bucks: No one has won more LTC games than veteran coach Joel Sankey. After a tough early season schedule and a rash of injuries, he feels his team is playing its best football. The Bucks beat Mattanawcook 49-6 in the semi-final last week.

QB Chase Carmichael broke LTC passing records this fall, throwing for over 1,500 yards. Add in the playoff game and you are talking 1,946 yards and 28 TDs of passing and rushing.

Lucas Wardwell is the featured back. The question is his health for tonight's game. Carter Tolmasoff and Keigan Riccard both have caught passes for close to 400 yards.

The winner tonight meets the winner of the Class D South game between Wells and Madison for the state title next week.
