Randall Wins First Race Of The Season
Kayaker Ben Randall navigated the St. George River Race course in 40-minutes, 58-seconds to win Maine's first downriver race of the season. It is his fourth straight St. George Race win.
The Sebattus paddler beat out another kayaker, Hank Thorburn, by over a minute.
Rod McLain from Stockton Springs was the top finisher in a canoe. His time was 43-minutes, 5-seconds.
105 boats entered the 6-mile race that kicks off the racing season. It was the 40th year of the St. George Race.
