The national awards continue to come in for Husson Eagles second baseman Kobe Rogerson for his performance on the diamond last week.

After being selected as the D3baseball.com National Team of the Week second baseman, the National Collegiate Baseball Baseball Writers Association has named Rogerson the national Rookie of the Week.

Rogerson (Brewer HS) batted .636 in last weekend's North Atlantic Conference Tournament. Add in non-conference games last week, he batted .500, with a double, seven RBI, five runs scored and he handled all 21 chances in the field without an error.

It's the first time a Husson infielder has been named the the D3baseball.com national team and the first time any Eagles player has been selected for the NCBWA rookie award.

NOTE: The Eagles play Baruch College (NY) in a best-of-three game championship this weekend with the winner earning the NAC automatic bid to the NCAA Tournament. Game one is Saturday at 1:30pm. Game two is Sunday at 11am, with the if necessary game three to follow.
