The UMaine baseball team came from six runs down to beat the America East top ranked team Stony Brook 9-8 at Mahaney Diamond. The Black Bears take two out of three in the weekend set.

Hernen Sardinas clubbed two hone runs and drove in three runs for the Bears.

Maine scored three times in both the 4th and 5th inning.

The Seawolves pushed across a run in the 7th inning to tie the game at 8-8.

The Bears scored what turned out to be the winning run in the bottom of the 7th on a single, sac bunt, error and a fielder's choice by Sardinas.

Peter Kemble pitched four inning in relief to get the win. Trevor Delaite finished the game and picked up the save.

The Black Bears improve to 9-8 in America East (13-27 overall).

Stony Brook drops to 14-7 and 25-19.
