Shibles Is NESCAC Coach Of The Year
Bowdoin College coach Adrienne Shibles is the New England Small College Athletic Conference (NESCAC) Coach of the Year after leading her Polar Bears to an undefeated regular season.
Shibles is from Knox and played her high school basketball at Mt. View High School. She played her college ball at Bates College.
Shibles is in her 11th season at Bowdoin head coach and is the program's all time winningest coach (249-64).
The (26-1) Polar Bears were ranked #1 in the nation all season before losing to Tufts in the NESCAC title game. Bowdoing received a NACAA at-large bid and will host a regional this weekend.
Bowdoin's Abby Kelly is NESCAC Player of the Year and Taylor Choate is NESCAC Defensive Player of the Year.
