Silva Named AE Pitcher Of The Week

UMaine senior Nick Silva has been named the America East Conference Pitcher of the Week. It's his second weekly honor of the spring.

Silva pitched 8.1 innings vs UMBC over the weekend, scattering three hits and one run. He struck out seven and walked four (one intentional).

The Black Bears beat the Retrievers 2-1 and won the weekend series two games to one.

SIlva and the (4-22, 3-5) Bears host UMass Lowell this weekend at Mahaney Diamond in Orono.
