Former University of Maine guard Tanesha Sutton has signed a contract to play professional basketball in Sweden.

She will play in the Division 1 League in Sweden for a team called the Norrkoping Dolphins. The season starts in late September and goes through late March.

Sutton helped the Black Bears to back-to-back America East Conference titles. She averaged 11 points, six rebounds and almost three assists per game.

She joins three other former UMaine players playing professionally overseas, Sigi Koizar (Russia), Chantel Charles (Spain) and Mikaela Gustafsson (Sweden).
