Senior captain Steven Swavely scored the game tying and game winning goals as the UMaine Black Bears snapped their three game skid beating Colgate 3-1.

Swavely's first goal came in the first period to tie the game 1-1.

His second one came late in the third period to grab the lead.

Cam Brown sealed the deal with an empty net goal.

Maine goalie Rob McGovern made 24 saves for his first win of the season.

The Bears are now 5-11-4. Colgate falls to 5-12-1.

The teams play again tonight at Alfond Arena in Orono.
