Theriault Starts Cup Race At #37

Fort Kent's Austin Theriault will start Sunday afternoon's NASCAR Monster Energy Cup Series race at Talladega in 37th place. He's driving the #51 car for Rick Ware Racing.

It's his fifth Cup Series race this year driving for RWR.

Theriault's qualifying time was 179.909 MPH.

His best finish in a Cup race is 32nd place (Richmond, Michigan).

Chase Elliot won the pole position with a speed of 192.707 MPH.
