Former UM Hockey Coach Tim Whitehead To Coach Kimball Union

Former UMaine hockey coach Tim Whitehead will be back behind the bench this winter as the Head Coach of Kimball Union Prep School in New Hampshire.Whitehead was fired by the University of Maine after the season with a record of 250-171-34 in 12 years leading the Bears.

Kimball Union just celebrated their 200th anniversary as a school, the hockey program has been in existence for 78 years. Athletic Director Mike Doherty said Whitehead pursued the job on his own and became the clear choice right away.

Whitehead replaces Mike Levine who left to become an assistant coach at Brown University.
