Tripp, Deprey, Labonte Nominated For Athlete Of The Week

Bucksport HS senior Mikayla Tripp threw two no-hitters and a two-hitter last week as the Golden Bucks improved to 10-1 in Class C North. Tripp fired a 10-0 no-hitter over Mattanawcook Academy, striking out 17 and did not walk a batter. She had a five inning no-hitter against Searsport with 10 strikeouts and she added a two-hit complete game win over Orono. Tripp added 10 RBI as a hitter during the week.

Caribou HS junior Parker Deprey is 11-0 on the tennis court this spring, leading his Vikings to a 11-0 mark so far. He will be one of the top seeds for the individual championships this weekend. Deprey and his Vikes are defending Class B state champions in tennis and he also helped Caribou claim the Class B basketball title back in March.

Hermon HS senior Jacques Labonte picked up his 6th win of the spring with an 8-2 win over John Bapst. He leads the PVC in wins (6-0). His ERA is 1.71 in 32.1 innings of work and Labonte has 35 strikeouts. The Hawks are top ranked in Class B North with a 12-0 record.
