UMaine Basketball Teams Pick Up Sunday Sweep
The UMaine women's basketball team ended up with double doubles from Blanca Millan (25 points, 11 rebounds) and Maeve Carroll (10 points, 14 rebounds) as the Black Bears beat Navy 46-41 in Portland in their Military Appreciation Game.
UMaine is now 2-3 and will play in the Gulf Coast Classic Friday in Estero, Florida against Arizona State.
The UMaine men's basketball team rolled to a 40 point win against Division 3 Maine Maritime Academy 90-50 in their Military Appreciation Game in Portland Sunday. Andrew Fleming had a double double (23 points, 10 rebounds), and Stephane Ingo played 16 minutes and scored 6 points, and grabbed 8 rebounds to go along with 4 blocks.
UMaine is now 2-3 and will play the defending National Champions Virginia Wednesday at 4pm in Charlottesville.
