For the fourth time this season, the UMaine men's basketball played an overtime game. And, for the third time in those games, the Black Bears came up on the short end of the scoreboard.

In double-overtime at the Cross Center in Bangor, the Bears lost to Central Connecticut State 93-90.

But don't blame junior guard Sergio El Darwich. He hit a three-pointer at the end of regulation to tie the game at 73-73 and send the game to overtime.

Then El Darwich did it again in overtime. A three-pointer to tie the game at 84-84 and force a second overtime.

In that period, CCSU outscored Maine 9-6 and won the game 93-90. El Darwich scored all six Maine points. He finished with 26 points in 37 minutes of playing time.

Isaiah White added 22 and Andrew Fleming scored 18 and hauled down nine rebounds for the Bears.

CCSU was led by Tyler Kohl with 33.

UMaine falls to 2-11 while Central Conn improves to 6-6.

BOSTON, MA. Northeastern 63  UMaine Women 55: The Black Bears dropped their second straight non-conference game, losing to the Huskies on Northeastern in Boston. Both team are ranked in the top-15 of the national mid-majors polls.

Tanesha Sutton led Maine with 22 points.

Stella Clark led the Huskies with 15.

The Black Bears drop to 7-4. Northeastern improves to 10-1.
