The University of Maine women's ice hockey is just on the outside of the top 10 of the United States College Hockey Organization poll that was released on Tuesday afternoon.

The Black Bears charted at what would be the 11th spot in the USCHO Top-10 and the 13th position in the USA Today Women's College Hockey poll.

The Black Bears picked up a 4-1 victory over Vermont on the road this past weekend and are currently 12-6-3 on the season.  UMaine also sports a 6-3-2 conference mark, led by Tereza Vanisova who has nine goals and 22 assists for 31 total points.

UMaine will have a month off from action for winter break before facing Boston University for two games in January.
