UM’s Nyquist Named NHL Top Player [VIDEO]

After scoring 6 goals in his last 4 games, Gustav Nyquist has been named the NHL's First Star Weekly Award winner. It is the NHL player of the week honor. The former UMaine Black Bear has been on a tear for the past month - since January 20th Nyquist has scored 18 goals in 23 games. His 23 goals for the season is tops on the Red Wing team.

From 2008 to 2011, Nyquist had 144 points in 113 games for UMaine.
