
Maine Beats St. Francis 69-46
The Maine Black Bears Women's Basketball Team picked up a much-needed win, beating St. Francis 69-46 on Saturday afternoon, November 29th as Adrianna Smith recorded a triple-double.
Maine led 18-12 at the end of the 1st Quarter and 31-23 at the end of the 1st Half. Maine put the game away in the 3rd Quarter, outscoring St. Francis 22-12 to lead 53-35 at the end of the 3rd Quarter.
Smith was 1 of 4 Maine players finishing with double figures. She had 19 points and 13 rebounds and 10 assists to lead Maine. Kaliyah Sain had 12 points while Asta Blauenfeldt and Sarah Talon each had 10 points.
Maine shot 50 percent from the field, going 28-56. They were 5-16 from beyond the 3-point arc and 8-11 from the free throw line.
Maine outrebounded St. Francis 36-32.
St. Francis was led by Sonia Sato with 10 points. They were 19-59 from the field shooting 32.2 percent, and just 2-13 from beyond the 3-point arc. They were 6-7 from the free throw line.
St. Francis is now 0-8.
