No Chris Ferguson. No Ramon Jefferson. No win for UMaine football. The Black Bears took on Yale in Connecticut Saturday afternoon and lost 35-14.

Maine's top quarterback, Chris Ferguson did not play because of that shoulder injury sustained vs Central Michigan last week.

Redshirt freshman Isaiah Robinson did. He threw two touchdown passes and was 10-for-27, 179 yards, no interceptions.

But Yale quarterback was better, throwing for 306 yards (22-for-34) and three TDs. He also ran of a touchdown.

The Black Bears also lost their top runner, Ramon Jefferson after five carries to an injury. He did not return.

The Bulldogs outgained Maine in total yards 396-264.

After starting the season beating New Hampshire and FBS Western Kentucky, the Bears have dropped two straight and return to Alfond Stadium next week to host national ranked Villanova in a CAA matchup.

NOTE: UMaine leaves the Yale Bowl with an all-time record of 0-9-1 vs the Bulldogs.
