Husson Eagles senior  Mark Zaharchuk is the NAC Player of the Week. The 6-10 center scored 17ppg and 7reb win two Husson wins, against MMA and Colby.

What's even more impressive is that Zaharchuk comes off the bench to get the impressive numbers plus he had a 57% field goal percentage for the week.

The Eagles are now 12-5 overall and 9-2 in NAC play. Only UMaine Farmington(10-2) has a better conference record.

Husson is on the road this week with an out-of-conference game at Bates Tuesday before playing conference games in Vermont over the weekend.

In NAC women's basketball action, MMA's freshman Mary Badeen is conference rookie-of-the-week. The former Nokomis HS player averaged 17ppg and 6reb in three games last week. MMA women's team is 9-9 overall, 6-5 in the conference.
