AE Tourney Stays In Lowell Next 4 Years

The America East Conference has reached an agreement with officials in Lowell, Massachusetts to host the league championship tournament at LeLacheur Park for the next four years. The stadium is the home of the Red Sox Single-A team called the Lowell Spinners.

The park is also the home of the UMass Lowell baseball program, a new team added to America East Conference.

The AE tournament was held at LaLacheur Park last spring. Maine lost in the championship game to the Binghamton Bearcats. The game got moved to another field because of weather delays and the Spinners team needed to play league games at LeLacheur.

The four team tournament will be held May 22-25.
