Town of the Year

Jonesport defeated Bucksport, the '21 Town of the Year, in this year's final, claiming over 63% of the vote.

For the second-straight summer, it's down to Bucksport or Jonesport to be named Town of the Year.

For the second-straight year, Bucksport will meet Jonesport with the Town of the Year title on the line.

In addition to having plenty of local pride when it comes to Town of the Year, these four towns also show their passion when it comes to high school sports.

The Drive will be hitting the road this week for our annual Town of the Year road trip. We'll begin the tour Tuesday in Searsport on the wharf, followed by stops in Belfast on Wednesday, Jonesport on Thursday and Bucksport to cap the week on Friday.

Congratulations to Searsport, Jonesport, Belfast and Bucksport, the final four towns and city remaining in this year's Town of the Year competition.

We're down to eight towns and cities in this year's tournament. If you're hometown is still alive, do your part to help it get crowned Town of the Year 2022!

The rules for this round are simple: you can place a vote in each of the eight matchups, once per day. Voting will conclude on Friday (7/8) at 6 p.m.
