Dugas Medalist, Eagles Finish Second In NCAA Tuneup

In the final tuneup for next month's NCAA Golf Championship appearance, Husson University's Gavin Dugas won medalist honors and the Eagles team finished in second place at the Lafrance Hospitality Invitational Tournament in Massachusetts.

15 Division III teams competed in the tourney hosted by UMass Dartmouth.

Dugas finished 3-over par (73, 74) (147) to take top individual honors. Mackenzie Clow was T-13th, Daulton Wickenden T-22nd, Taylor Morang T-31st and Riley Swanson T-69th.

UMass Dartmouth's two-day total was 623. The Eagles finished five shots back at 628.

Next up for the Eagles, the NCAA Division III Championships in Kentucky beginning May 14th. The Husson team earned the right to play in the national tournament by winning the North Atlantic Conference championship last fall.
