Hermon's Wyatt Gogan has been named the First National Bank High School Athlete of the Week after his three-touchdown performance against MDI last Friday.

Gogan, who won with 32 percent of the vote, joins quarterback Garrett Trask as the second Hawks player to earn Athlete of the Week honors.

He caught two touchdown passes from Trask, including a 43-yard score in the first quarter, as Hermon triumphed over MDI, 49-14.

Gogan added a 78-yard kickoff return for a score with 9:15 remaining in the second quarter.

Other nominees this week included Gabe Coffey, a cross country runner from Bangor, Madisyn Hartley of the MCI field hockey team, Nick Wildhaber of the Waterville football team and Nora Buck of the Lawrence field hockey team.

Other athletes who have won First National Bank Athlete of the Week honors during the 2018 fall sports season include MDI's Elijah Joyce, Winslow's Alex Demers, Hermon's Garrett Trask and Alex Costedio of Nokomis.
