Jordan Laplume was Northeast 10 Conference Rookie of the Year last fall playing for Merrimack College and now she is 2019 Maine Women's Amateur Golf champion.

The Old Orchard Beach golfer fired a 3-under par 69 in the final round of the tournament and won her first amateur title by eight strokes over Portland's Carrie Langevin.

A year ago, she played in the final group of the tournament and saw another college player, Bailey Plourde win it.

“It’s an absolute dream come true,” admitted Laplume after the round. “I almost had it last year and I worked so hard, had a great year at Merrimack, and this is so awesome.”  - MSGA Press Release
