Mt. Ararat High School golfer Caleb Manuel is now a two-time Maine State Schoolboy Individual champion after shooting a 3-under par 69 at Natanis Golf Club in Vassalboro on Saturday.

It caps off a great year for the UConn-bound senior.

Last week, Manuel led his Mt. Ararat Eagles to the Team Championship title. Earlier in the year, he finished as runner-up in the Maine Junior Amateur Tournament and the Maine Match Play Amateur Championship. He tied for fifth place at the 100th Maine Amateur Tournament.

CLASS A INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: #1 Caleb Manuel (Mt.A.)...Brewer's Josh Birch finished 9th, Hampden's Jay Hatch finished tied for 17th.

CLASS B INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: #1 Tyler Rivers (York HS) (+5)...Hermon's Nate Allain tied for 9th place and Logan Scripture was 11th...Old Town's Dylan Street was 13th.

CLASS C INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: #1 Mitch Tarrio (Kents Hill) (-1)...Houlton's Isaac Vega finished tied for 2nd...Sumner's Warren Harden and Orono's Jason Desisto tied for 9th.

SCHOOLGIRL INDIVIDUAL CHAMP: #1 Ruby Haylock (Leavitt HS) (+3)...Nokomis' Lindsay Cote tied for 3rd.
