Plummer Wins Another State Title [SCORES]

Maine's most famous golfer has done it again. Mark Plummer has won another state title, the Maine Senior Amateur Championship.

The 67-year-old Plummer birdied the final two holes at York Golf & Tennis Club Wednesday afternoon to squeak past Gary Manoogian by one stroke.

Plummer fired a 3-under par 69 Wednesday to finish with a two day score of 145.

Defending champ Lennie Cole finished in third place.

The win for Plummer is his sixth Maine Senior Amateur title since turning 55. Nobody has won more.

Plummer has more Maine State Amateur Championships,13, than any other Maine golfer.

He also owns four Maine State Mid-Amateur titles, one Maine State Match Play title and 50 years ago, in 1969, Plummer was Maine State Junior Golf Champion.
