Quest For State Titles Begins Tuesday

Thanks to a two day extension from the Maine Principals Association, the baseball and softball regular season has finished which means it's playoff time.The prelim games get the postseason started on Tuesday. In class A baseball Brewer will host Brunswick at 6pm, a game you can hear live on Sports Radio 92.9 The Ticket, 929theticket.com or on radio pup, our free app. The winner will advance to play #1 Oxford Hills on Thursday.

Live coverage on the Ticket will continue with quarterfinal play Wednesday at 4pm when Messalonskee travels to Bangor for a meeting with the Rams. On Thursday at 4pm #2 Hampden plays #7 Lewiston.

The defending Eastern Maine champions in baseball are all back in the playoffs this year and have a combined record of 49-15.

• Class D - #2 Bangor Christian 15-1

Cony, Old Town, Bucksport and PVHS are the defending champs in softball and are all #2 seeds this year. They have a combined record of 61-3.
