One night after losing to Boston College 7-3, the #10 Maine Men's Hockey Team rebounded and shutout the #15 Boston College Eagles 3-0 on Saturday, November 22nd in Chestnut Hills.

It didn't take Maine long to get on the scoreboard, as Miguel Marques took advantage of a BC miscue and scored unassisted with 1:32 gone, to give Maine a 1-0 lead.

With 11:10 gone in the 1st Period, Josh Nadeau scored a short-handed goal, assisted by Charlie Russell, to put the Black Bears up 2-0.

The score remained 2-0 until almost midway thru the 3rd Period. With 8:53 gone, Marques scored his 2nd goal of the game, He was assisted by Sully Scholle and Thomas Freel.

Maine was 0-3 on the power play while BC was also 0-3.

BC outshot Maine 21-19. The Eagles had 10 blocked shots, while Maine had 14.

Mathis Rousseau picked up the win for Maine, with his 1st shutout. He had 21 saves.. It was the 1st Maine shutout by a Maine goalie against BC since March 5, 2004.

BC is now 7-5-1 overall and 5-3-0 in Hockey East.

Maine is now 8-5-1 overall and also 5-3-0 in Hockey East.

The Black Bears are now off until December 5th when they will host UNH for the weekend, with the pucks dropping at 7 p.m. on December 5th and 6th.
