Former UMaine hockey coach Tim Whitehead is now a three-time NEPSAC Elite 8 champ coaching the Kimball Union Academy team in New Hampshire.

His Kimball Union prep team scored a goal with 56-seconds left in regulation to beat Salisbury 4-3 in the Elite 8 Tournament championship game. That's three consecutive titles for KUA under the former UMaine coach.

Whitehead's Wildcats finish the season at 30-4-2.

Whitehead has coached at the prep school in New Hampshire since 2013. He was the UMaine hockey coach from 2001-2013 when school officials bought out the last year of his contract.
